The best way to advertise what you as a company have to offer is to "Show it Off".
Chamber members sponsor a Business After Hours event to do just that. By calling
the Chamber office and booking a BAH Event, you immediately give an invitation to
approximately 700 chamber members. The event will be listed in our newsletter,
luncheon programs, calendar of events, website and on faxes that go out to the
membership. The local newspapers will be notified of the event as well. Offer
great refreshments and have literature and/or business handouts for your guests.

This event is a great networking
opportunity designed to bring attention to your business and potential customers in your door.
We are now taking applications for 2010. Listed below are the key elements for hosting a Business
After Hours event. If you are interested in hosting your own BAH please fill out the bottom section of
this form and fax back to Debbie Scott at 755-9168 by no later than November 20, 2009.
Business After Hours events are typically held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month
selected. Use this opportunity to really show off your business. You can make the event as simple or
as grand as you would like. As part of the hosting agreement you will be responsible for providing the
following:
- An appropriate venue that will comfortably hold 50-75 guests (certain venues may draw
closer to 100 guests). If you are planning an outdoor event you must have an indoor
alternative in case of inclement weather.
- Hors d oeuvres for your guests.
- 1 to 2 drinks/ beverages per person (you may use drink tickets).
- Music/ entertainment to add to the ambiance of the event is suggested.
- Door prize(s) for business card drawing.
- Registration table area for Chamber staff to check-in guests
- Have collaterals available for guests to take with them.
- Provide your company logo to the Chamber to be used on collaterals advertising your
event.
The Chamber will provide these services:
- Advertising for your event in the following manner: blast fax or e-mail flyers to 700+
members, event announcement at Chamber functions such as the Chamber’s monthly
member luncheon, listing on the Chamber calendar, and listing in the Chamber
newsletter pre and post event.
- Take reservations for your event.
- Submit a headcount to you a minimum of 2 days prior to the event.
- Provide drink tickets (if applicable/necessary).
- Provide referral list of member services that you may want to use to put on your event
example: caterers, florists, promotional items, etc.
Applications will be considered on a first come, first serve basis and for appropriateness of venue.
