Homes On Tour

2413 Sanders Ridge Lane

This home was custom built by Landon Homes, LLC in November, 2006. The home is Country French but it’s interior is definitely influenced by the homeowner’s homeland of Italy. The 30' two-story entry paintings depict her home in Italy. This home truly defines the word “custom”, and most of the interior design and faux finishes were done by the homeowner whose approach to decorating is the same as her approach to life--embrace it with joyous enthusiasm and the holidays are no exception. In the words of their grandchildren "Going to Mimi's and Papa's house at Christmas is like going to Santa's Workshop." We hope that you too will enjoy "Santa’s Workshop".

3134 Penmont Drive

Built in 1985 the outside façade of this Southern Louisiana Style home was inspired by a New Orleans Restaurant. The inviting front porch, made for sitting out, is typical of the Deep South Hospitality. The yard is enclosed by an antique wrought iron fence with accompanying cast iron posts and gates. The front door has a beveled glass insert and is backlit with an antique French crystal chandelier…. A New Orleans find!! This home, designed and decorated by the artist in residence, is intended for both formal and informal entertaining. On display throughout is original art, some by the artist herself. The furnishings are a collection of eclectic pieces that reflect the owners’ taste and the desire to have surroundings celebrated. So ya’ll celebrate the coming of Papa Noel with a hint of New Orleans flavor.

9383 Groveview Cove

On visiting this home that was built by Gary Albertine in 2003, you will come to appreciate the unexpected. It is infused with personality and reflects the eclectic and stylish taste of the interior decorator/owner. Who would have thought to put silk with burlap or a shiny finish with one of rust? Not to mention a leopard stair runner or the inclusion of a sofa in the kitchen! The combination of finishes from the stained floors and plastered then gently glazed walls, creates an impression of energy in a home that is a curious window into the lives of the occupants. As a family of aviators and owners of Post 31 Interiors, you can guess that it is both daring and creative. After all it is the "mix not the match" that counts.

9609 Mourning Dove Cove

This home was custom built by Russell Kostka, finished in October 1993 and hit by a tornado on Thanksgiving weekend 1994. The damage was considerable and the homeowners we out of the house for approximately 6 months while it being rebuilt. Most of the furnishings have been inherited or collected over the past 35 years. The palette is traditional and eclectic. Every year they do a little updating and keep some kind of project going most of the time, either inside or out. The homeowner has been doing freelance interior design for the past eight years and all of her business is word of mouth. Her philosophy on design is that a room or project should never look as if it was done in a short period of time, but rather collected and gathered over a lifetime. That is how they feel their home looks. She has been collecting Christmas decorations for as long as she can remember, they always go overboard and this year is no exception.
