      • This is a social networking opportunity hosted by a sponsor Chamber member, held either before or after working hours.

      Business Expo

      • This annual event is held in April and showcases participating members, as well as non-member businesses to the general public. 
      • Sponsorship opportunites are available with print, radio and television advertising prior to the event.

      Chamber Golf Tournament

      • This annual event is open to Chamber members and the general public, held in early summer.

      Germantown Magazine

      • Approximately 17,000 magazines are distributed annually.

      • Available to Chamber members only, local media coverage insures area-wide attention to new and expanding businesses

      Mini-Expo Program

      • Chamber members (3 each month) may purchase mini-expo space for a nominal fee at General Membership Luncheons to promote their business

      New Business Advertising

      • Special rates are given to new Chamber members advertising in the Place Holder of the Shelby Sun Times

      Newcomers List and Packets 

      • Newcomer names and address are provided to Chamber members for a nominal fee
      • Members may purchase placement of advertising material in all newcomer packets for nominal yearly fee, with newcomer list being sent to advertiser monthly 

      Newsletter

      • Advertising inserts may be included in this monthly publication for a nominal fee.  The newletter is mailed to the entire Chamber membership.

      • Chamber staff constantly provides business referrals to the general public

      Small Business of the Year Awards

      • Awarded annually, winners are featured locally in the Germantown Magazine and recognized state wide by the state of Tennessee.

      Join The Chamber Today

  • Ambassador Program

    • The Ambassadors are a select group, each member unique in his or her own way, but all serving a common cause as the Chamber's official diplomats.

      Each Ambassador has been active in the Chamber for at least one year and serves on at least one committee.  An Ambassador is expected to contact members by phone, e-mail or in person when the need arises.  Ambassador responsibilities include assisting with and attending Chamber meetings such as monthly Ambassador meetings, General Membership luncheons, New Member Receptions and ribbon cuttings as well as Chamber Sponsored events throughout the year.


      Ambassador activitites represent a heavy commitment.  At least 60% visability is necessary and a more than 30% unexcused absence rate in 90 days will place an Ambassador on inactive status.


      To qualify for ambassadorship, a member must be active for a period of one year prior to applying to be an ambassador.

  • Chamber Referral Group

    • We offer a unique atmosphere in which to meet local business professionals and share knowledge and information. Our meetings are casual and enjoyable but make no mistake about it, we mean business!

      The Germantown Chamber Referral Group is a leads and referral group of the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce.


      The group is industry exclusive, allowing one member to represent each business. For example, there is one accountant, one caterer, etc. The group meets twice a month at 12 noon on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse located at 6245 Poplar Avenue.


      Participation in the group is vital, consequently there are attendance requirements to insure the integrity and strength of the group.

  • SBS - Small Business Sector
    • Informal networking business group with speakers and information geared to small business. Bring your own lunch and plenty of business cards to share. No reservations are required.

      This informal networking business group meets the First Tuesday of every month at 12 Noon at the First Tennessee Bank located at the corner of Germantown Road and Poplar Avenue.


      Each month different speakers and/or programs are presented with information geared to small business. Topics are based on the input of the group and each meeting gives plenty of time for networking and getting to know each other in business.


      Bring your own lunch and plenty of business cards to share. No reservations are required.
